Storylines: Darryl lives in the shed in the Morton's backyard. His loud music annoyed neighbours Gail Platt and Claire Peacock.
He became friends with David Platt, firing an air rifle with him and teaching him how to make bleach bombs.
When Darryl asked David to hide some ecstasy tablets for him, David's niece, Bethany, inadvertently swallowed one and was hospitalised. When the police came David took the blame for Darryl. Darryl also got Vernon stoned when the Morton's had a party.
When Darryl began dating Lauren Wilson, Mel disapproved, largely due to Lauren's habit of "borrowing" money from Darryl.
Darryl enjoys hanging out with David Platt and Tina McIntyre, with whom he works.
