Storylines: Dan first appeared on the street when he clamped Lloyd's car over a debt he owed.
He began dating Kelly Crabtree, telling her that he owed the bookies. However when he stood her up, she instead went out with his father Harry. Harry's presence often cramped Dan's style, especially when he moved into Dan's house and replaced his new furniture with his old things.
Dan paid Paul Clayton when he found a winning betting slip that Jack had lost, but took a cut from Paul. However when Harry made Dan pay Jack, Dan sought to recoup the money from Paul, claiming free meals from the restaurant.
Here, he began flirting with Leanne Battersby
