Antony Cotton plays Sean Tully on Coronation Street

Antony Cotton (born Antony Dunn on 5 August 1975) plays Sean Tully on Coronation Street.

Antony was born in Bury, in Greater Manchester, and is the son of actress Enid Dunn.

Antony attended Oldham Theatre Workshop, as well as studying dance at both the Davies School of Dance and the Lupino School.

Antony played Alexander on Queer as Folk. He also appeared in episodes of Absolutely Fabulous as the character Damon.

In January 2007, Antony won the second series of Soapstar Superstar. He donated the 200,000 pounds he won to the Elton John Aids Foundation.

Antony hosted his own chat show in 2007, called That Antony Cotton Show. However, it was not renewed for a second season.

Cotton made his film debut opposite Daniel Craig and Derek Jacobi in the 1998 film Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon. He also appeared in the 1998 film The Wisdom of Crocodiles.

In 2005, Antony won the Most Popular Newcomer category at the National Television Awards for his role as Sean on Coro, as well as the Inside Soap Awards for Best Newcomer and Funniest Performance (he won the latter again in 2006).

At the 2007 British Soap Awards, Antony was awarded the Best Actor award, which was voted for by the public. He also won Best Actor at the 2007 Inside Soap Awards.
