The Prime Minister has been given a tough time in Parliament for signing charity art-works that were not hers.
Helen Clark claims other politicians have done the same and that she is the victim of a smear campaign.
Opposition MPs deny that and have complained to Parliament's Privileges Committee.
Clark has admitted that about half a dozen pieces of art sold at charity auctions bearing her signature were in fact painted by other artists.
Speaking of one such piece, Anne Malcolm, Ponsonby Primary School Principal said:
"We wouldn't have submitted it for auction if we'd known it hadn't been done by Helen Clark."
But Clark says in the case of Ponsonby Primary, the school was told the work was not hers.
Celebrity Agent Andy Haden, says works should only be gifted if they are authentic.
"When you put your signature on something you have to be able to say it's a bit of your own work," Haden said.
In Parliament Clark said other MPs have done the same, but refused to name them.
Opposition Leader Bill English is accusing Clark of her own dirty tactics.
"Why does she believe that anyone sees this as other than a smear tactic of her own to get out of her own dirty little puddle," English said.
The opposition plans to lay a complaint with the Parliament's Privileges Committee, saying Clark implied all MPs are potential criminals and art frauds.
