The daughter of Health Minister Annette King is appealing her conviction for dangerous driving and possessing the drug Ecstasy.

Amanda King was fined and lost her licence after crashing her mother's tax-payer funded car near Taupo last year.

Another motorist was injured.

King's lawyer says the driving was careless not dangerous, and Amanda King's partner admitted the Ecstasy was his.

The judge reserved his decision.
