Salley close to return
New Zealand Knights' coach Paul Nevin finally got some good news on Tuesday with midfielder Jonas Salley returning to training.
Salley injured ankle ligaments in round three against Melbourne in Auckland.
The Ivory Coast-born Salley could make his way back onto the bench for the Knights this weekend against the Central Coast Mariners, 10 weeks after damaging his ankle.
Nevin says Salley's appearance was a massive boost and he got through the training session which gave everyone a lift.
Meanwhile, those on Nevin's injury list at this stage include Adam Casey, Neil Emblen and Noah Hickey.
Elsewhere, the contract of short-term signing Fernando expires this week while Greg Duruz is set to miss the match through suspension.
