What does a Presentation Director do?
A Presentation Director is basically a radio DJ, but without the
talking. They play the ads, programmes... everything. A
Presentation Director has to catch everyone else's mistakes before
they go to air. It's a 'live on-air' control room where anything
can happen and it's their job to keep things running smoothly.
What I like about being a Presentation Director -
"The title sounds flash! You are basically getting paid to watch
TV, of course there's a lot more to it than that! Even though the
job involves shift work there is a lot of flexibility." Carrie
Wills, Presentation Director
What qualifications do I need to become a Presentation
Director?
To be a successful Presentation Director, you need a great
attitude, sound editorial judgement, technical aptitude, computer
literacy and a passion for television.
