Luna Rossa carries a strong history into the 32nd America's Cup after winning the Louis Vuitton challenger series and racing against Team New Zealand for the America's Cup in 2000.
They were swept by Team NZ in that series but returned tree years later to have a second go.
Their boats were not as quick and the Italian team ended up losing in the semifinals.
