Elland Road will stage the World Club Challenge between NRL premiers Canterbury Bulldogs and Super League champions Leeds Rhinos on February 4.

Elland Road is the home of English Championship football side Leeds United.

The Rhinos play their home games at Headingley where their ground backs onto the cricket venue of the same name.

But the Rhinos' ground was not considered for the match because of its reduced capacity of 21,225.

They had several sell-outs during the season and are confident of filling the 40,000 Elland Road which later this month hosts the Tri-Nations Series final.
