The auction for Prime Minister John Keys drawing of an alternative NZ Flag has sold on Trade Me tonight to a business in the beauty industry that has a very strong commitment to raising money for charity itself.

 

$10,150 was paid for the doodle and the entire amount will go directly to Cure Kids a charity that funds scientific research to find cures for the major diseases and illnesses that take NZ childrens lives.

 

TVNZ and Cure Kids would like to thank the winning bidder for his enormous generosity as well as the other bidders (181 bids), the 600+ people who posted their good wishes, comments & support and the many thousands who hit the auction page creating a views total of over 132,000.

 

Cure Kids will release details very soon on what they plan to do with the very generous donation.
