by tvnz.co.nz's Darren Bevan

The internet's gone into meltdown.

On a scale of Warp Factor 9.

Well, more specifically, those in the movie community who're eagerly awaiting the new Star Trek film which is due next May.

Director JJ Abrams (who in case you've forgotten brought us Lost among other things) has unveiled new footage from the film at a press screening in London's West End.

It included a new trailer (due to be released next week) and four excerpts from the film; one of which was co-introduced by Simon Pegg who plays engineer Scotty.
