Progressive leader Jim Anderton is calling on UnitedFuture leader, Peter Dunne to leave immediately.

The pair are at loggerheads over the Dunne's decision to rule out working with Labour after the election.

Instead, Dunne's vowed to only work with National, despite being a minister in the current Labour-led Government.

Anderton says while it's pleasing to see UnitedFuture say what it intends to do, Dunne should back up his convictions and leave the government now.

He says it's not a good look to drive in a ministerial car, saying you want to get rid of the government you are still a part of.
