The NZ Breakers are back to the training gym on Auckland's North Shore as coach Andrej Lemanis braces for the upcoming ANBL season.
The Breakers are back home after a five game tour of Australia ahead of their Australian NBL opener against Wollongong on September 18.
Lemanis would dearly love more warm up games but financial restraints won't allow it.
While his side has no more games they'll hit the training court hard this week as the preparation continues.
While on their preseason tour the Breakers fashioned a two win, three loss record.
Star off-season signing CJ Bruton saw court time in the final two games.
Meanwhile, the Melbourne Tigers have received a major boost at the expense of local rivals the South Dragons - with the signing of star Ebi Ere.
Ere had previously committed to joining the Dragons, but he delayed signing in order to have a shot at the NBA.
While he did so the Dragons filled up their import slot by signing Trammell Darden.
When Ere's NBA bid fell through the Tigers swooped, adding to an impressive squad for the coming season.
Tigers coach Al Westover said after adding Ere to their roster he know's they're going to be the team to beat this season.
