Pornographer Steve Crow will not know whether his Boobs On Bikes parade can go ahead until Tuesday.
The Auckland City Council claims the event breaches a bylaw banning offensive public events and is seeking an court injunction to stop the parade.
A lawyer for Crow says his client was only given two hours notice before the bylaw was passed.
He says under the Bill of Rights, women should be allowed to expose their breasts in the same way men take their tops off.
Lawyers for Auckland City say there are justified limits under the Bill of Rights and the parade is not a freedom of expression but a commercial exercise for Crow's Erotica Lifestyle exhibition.
Judge Nicola Mathers will make a ruling on Tuesday on whether
the topless show can be held down Queen Street on Wednesday.
Crow says the Boobs on Bikes parade will go ahead regardless of the
court's decision.
He says it has cost him $50,000 so far and expects that will increase to almost a quarter of a million dollars.
He says the battle is a huge waste of his and ratepayers' money and the parade will go ahead regardless of the court's decision.
