The crown is summing up it's case at the re-trial of Antonie Dixon.

Dixon is facing eight charges including murder and grievous bodily harm. He is accused of seriously injuring Renee Gunbie and Simone Butler and murdering James Te Aute in January 2003.

His lawyers say he was insane at the time, but the crown prosecutors disagree.

The judge is expected to sum up on Wednesday before the jury retires to consider its verdict.
