Trucking company protests over road user charges are taking place across the country on Friday July 4. There is likely to be major disruption. Below is a list of the routes the protests will take in the various centres. The protests are set to start at 7am
Auckland
Route 1
Operators coming from the west will take Nelson St off ramp, those
from North Shore will take Cook St off ramp onto Nelson St. From
there they will travel down Victoria Street, up Queen Street, onto
Karangahpe Road, to Symonds Street, down Symonds into Wellesley
Street and back onto Queen Street. The route will be repeated until
9:30am
Route 2
Operators coming from south will take the Symonds Street off ramp.
From there they will turn into Upper Queen Street, go down Queen
Street, into Wellesley, onto Hobson, into Pitt Street, down
Karangahape Road, back onto Queen Street. The route will be
repeated until 9:30am.
Wellington
Route 1
Assemble at Mackays Crossing, from there go down State Highway One
through Terrace Tunnel, turn into Taranaki Street, go down Jervois
Quay, into Whitmore Street, past Parliament Building to the
Molesworth Street off-ramp.
Route 2
Assemble at Seaview. Go along Petone Esplanade, down State Highway
2 to motorway and through Terrace Tunnel, Turn into Taranaki
Street, go down Jervois Quay into Whitmore Street, past Parliament
Building to the Molesworth Street off-ramp.
Christchurch
Route 1
Depart Riccarton Racecourse at 7:30am, go down Epsom Road to the
Sockburn roundabout, and then go down Blenheim Rd, Moorhouse Ave,
Montreal St, into Salisbury Street, into Manchester St, into St
Asaph St, back into Montreal St, left at Victoria St to Bealey Ave.
Terminate at Bealey Ave.
Route 2 (Northern)
Depart Steve Murphy Ltd on the Old Main North Road at 7:30am. From
Old Main North Rd into Tram Rd, then onto the motorway, then
Northern Motorway, off at Main North Rd through Cranford St
intersection onto Papanui Rd, Victoria St, then into Durham St,
Lichfield St, Madras St, Kilmore, Victoria St again and terminate
at Bealey Ave.
Dunedin
Route 1
Down northern end 1 way system from George Street Overbridge, onto
Princess Street and end at the Octagon
Route 2
From Andersons Bay to one way system, turn left on to
George Street and end at the Octagon

Route 1
From Te Puke (Poplar Lane) along SH2, Maunganui Road, Hewletts
Road, Harbour Bridge, Cameron Road
Route 2
From Te Puke, SH2, Maungatapu Ave, 15th Avenue, Cameron Road,
Sulphure Point roundabout, Cameron Road Te Puna (Clarke Road) along
SH2, Route PJ, Chapel St, Sulphur Point Roundabout, Cameron Road to
Pyes Pa Roundabout, onto Cameron Road
Rotorua
From North
Opposite Rotorua Airport, Te Ngae Road, Fenton Street

Waipa Mill Road or Atiamuri Road, right at Boy's High Intersection,
