Brash urges monetary policy use

Former Reserve Bank Governor Don Brash says it is vital that central banks do not give up on using monetary policy to target inflation.

Central banks are coming under in-creasing pressure to abandon the practise of inflation targeting, in favour of broader economic growth.

Brash says while he accepts some exporters have struggled under the policy in recent years, it is still the best option.
