Marina Erakovic has bowed out in the second round of the French Tennis Open in Paris.
Erakovic has been beaten 6-2, 7-6 by third seed Jelena Jankovic but had a great chance to extend the match to a third set.
She served for the second set at 6-5 and led 5-3 in the tie break. But Jankovic recovered her composure to win in an hour and 51 minutes on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
"It was a great match overall. I couldn't really perform at my best, but I'm glad to get through," said Jankovic.
"I didn't know her before we started the match. I never played against her.
"We speak Serbian together, but I never watched her play or I didn't know much about her game."
Erakovic has mixed emotions.
She said it would have been great to have taken the match into a third set but there is still plenty of positives to take out of it.
In other results, men's sixth seed David Nalbandian and seventh seed James Blake have both been dumped out of the tournament, as has Amelie Mauresmo.
Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Nikolay Davydenko and Venus Williams have all advanced.
