Waitakere United has won through to FIFA's Club World Cup for a second successive season hammering Kossa FC 5-0 in Auckland on Sunday.
The win gives Waitakere United a 6-3 aggregate win after they lost the opening match in Honiara 3-1 a fortnight ago.
Waitakere defender Neil Emblen says despite the one-sided nature
of the score line, they're a little relieved having squandered a
number of opportunities.
He says he missed a few chances as well but it's great they're
heading back to Japan.
Waitakere United's goals came through Benjamin Totori and Chris
Bale in the first half, with Allan Pearce grabbing a double and
Jack Butler netting after half time.
Waitakere collects US$500,000 for the win and a ticket to Japan for the Club World Cup at the end of the year.
