Australian vice captain Michael Clarke will delay his departure
for the tour of West Indies due to personal reasons, Cricket
Australia (CA) announced on Friday.
A number of Web sites claimed Clarke had withdrawn from the tour
because of the failing health of his fiancee's father.
However, CA said Clarke would join the Australian team at a later,
as yet unspecified, date.
The remainder of the Australian squad will depart for the West
Indies on Saturday.
Michael Hussey will take over as vice captain until Clarke arrives,
while a shadow player will be announced by CA selectors in due
course.
Australia play three tests in West Indies, starting on May 22 in
Jamaica.
