Sir Peter Blake tribute for Auckland

A multi-million dollar tribute to Sir Peter Blake on Auckland's waterfront has been given the go-ahead.

The exhibition will replace part of the National Maritime Museum on Auckland's Hobsons Wharf.

The centrepiece of the Blue Water Black Magic tribute will be the original Black Magic NZL 32, winner of the 1995 America's Cup.

Nine million dollars was raised to pay for the building and exhibition.
