The jury in the Chris Kahui murder trail have been shown police video of the accused.
Detective Julie Ingram was the first to interview Chris Kahui after his three-month-old twins Chris and Cru were admitted to hospital.
The video - the first of three taped police interviews with Kahui - shows him with his one year old son Shane on his lap trying to calm the child by handing him toys.
Ingram asked Kahui who was responsible for hurting his twins: "You feed the twins then you put them down at five o'clock Cru had some sort of fit at seven you put him back to bed you wake them up a six o'clock and yet at 10:30 you notice bruises on Chris and Cru."
When told the babies injuries were so bad they probably won't survive, he said "I'm scared".
Kahui has always maintained he left the door to the nursery open and Shane managed to climb on the couch and hurt the babies.
In the video Ingram said: "Someone has gone in there and beat yours boys and you told Macsyna you thought it was Shane that did it."
It's a story that Chris Kahui has always stuck too.
