David Beckham suffered a frustrating afternoon as the Los Angeles Galaxy slumped to a 3-2 home defeat against Major League Soccer strugglers Toronto FC on Monday.
The England midfielder was unable to prevent his team from dropping their first home points of the season, despite twice fighting back from a goal behind.
Beckham played all 90 minutes and helped to win the 57th minute penalty that Landon Donovan converted for the Galaxy's second equaliser, when his attempted cross was handled by Toronto's Carl Robinson.
Earlier, Danny Dichio put the Canadian side ahead on 42 minutes, only for Donovan to level the scores a minute later. Jarrod Smith got Toronto back into the lead after 53 minutes and Jeff Cunningham secured the points with a breakaway goal with three minutes left.
