Waitangi Day on TV ONE 

TVNZ will broadcast comprehensive, in-depth coverage of the Waitangi Day commemorations this Wednesday, as New Zealanders mark one of our most important national days.

TVNZ's broadcast - its biggest coverage of Waitangi Day to date - will begin with LIVE reports on Breakfast Business at 6am.

Then at 6.30am Breakfast hosts Pippa Wetzell and Tamati Coffey will cover the start of the day's events from Waitangi, and coverage will continue through the day with LIVE updates in the 10am, 11am, Midday and 4.30pm ONE News Bulletins.

ONE News at 6pm will have a full wrap-up of the day's events, including LIVE coverage from centres around the country. This will be co-anchored from Waitangi by Wendy Petrie. Political editor Guyon Espiner and a team of ONE News journalists will provide in-depth reports throughout the day.

At 7pm, Mark Sainsbury will be at Waitangi, to debate and analyse the issues of the day in a special edition of Close Up.

Later in the evening ONE News Tonight will provide a final wrap of Waitangi Day 2008.
