West Sydney Razorbacks kept their touch on the top eight with a convincing 126-95 victory over the Singapore Slingers at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on Wednesday.

A return to form from star import Darnell Hinson was decisive in the victory, which puts the Razorbacks - who are ninth on the ladder - back on the winners' list after three consecutive losses.

The Razorbacks' American point guard, who's struggled to score recently after being concussed a few weeks ago, put on a display of accurate shooting and a flurry of three pointers for a game high 23 points.

Hinson had only averaged 12 points over the past three games, but stepped up tonight and had already added 13 by the end of the first quarter.

Also impressing in scoring was fellow import Troy DeVries who shot 22 and Liam Rush with 17.

For the Slingers, who remain anchored at the foot of the table in 13th position, tonight's loss was their sixth in a row and leaves them with a dreaded 2-14 win loss record.

Well rested after a 10-day break, the Razorbacks (7-7) led from the start of the game to grab a 33-16 advantage at the end of the first period and by halftime increased their lead to 34 points.

West Sydney's Anthony Petrie - struggling with a knee problem but still playing - added 10.

Singapore put up a strong fight in the second half, getting within 15 points of Sydney by the end of the third period, and with eight minutes remaining trailed by just three.

But a run of 17 straight points thanks largely to Hinson and DeVries saw the Pigs easily march to victory.

The best scores for the Slingers were Rod Grizzard and Mike Helms, both with 22.

West Sydney will next take on the Adelaide 36ers on Saturday, while the Slingers play a home game against the Brisbane Bullets on Sunday.

The win is also a big boost for the Razorbacks after recently losing guard Damian Martin to a season-ending knee injury.
