The National Party is calling for some key state assets to be
partly privatised.
Deputy leader Bill English told TV One's AGENDA programme that Air
New Zealand is a good example of a successful partial float.
He says National will also look at other assets, including
electricity companies.
The party has done a U-turn on complete privatisation saying feedback shows the public wants assets kept in state control.
Labour has reacted by accusing National of using sell-off plans to finance tax cuts and says National will be unable to stop at part-privatisation.
