The Alliance has released its first election policy under new leader Laila Harre, with a focus on young people.
The Youth Policy is similar to the Alliance manifesto at the last election. It includes giving 16 and 17-year-olds the same minimum wage as adults, a more liberal approach to cannabis, banning smacking of children and better access to reproductive health measures, including free condoms.
Speaking at the University of Canterbury, Harre said the Alliance's top priorities are resourcing young people, families and communities in education, health care and family incomes.
