Scott Guy's parents open up

The Guy family have had their lives turned upside down since their son Scott was shot at the entrance to his Feilding farm.

They went from a normal private family life to having every detail of their relationships scrutinised in court and the media after Ewen Macdonald, who had married Scott Guy's sister, was accused of the murder.

Tonight Scott's parents, Bryan and Jo, talk about the case and how their lives have changed.

Trouble on the tracks

The closure of the Capital Connection train, which links Palmerston North and Wellington, could have a huge impact on people's lives.

Some think they'll have to move, some are worried they might lose their jobs and one is even considering retiring because of it.

Close Up looks into why the link is closing and hears from Palmerston North MP Iain Lees-Galloway.

Making an Olympic champion

Olympic shotput champion Valerie Adams will finally be rewarded for her hard work tomorrow when she officially receives her gold medal.

The ceremony on Auckland's waterfront comes after her main rival was stripped of her victory for using drugs.

Close Up takes a visit to where it all began for Val, the Pakuranga Athletics Club.
