Preparing for the worst
Nine months on from Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami the
country is in recovery mode.
But it is how they are recovering that is of interest to New Zealand, as lessons learnt in Japan could apply equally here.
Pacific correspondent Barbara Dreaver takes a look.
Summer school
Despite school being over for the year, for hundreds of students
it's not the end of the books. In fact a new programme wants to
load them down with thousands more over the summer as research
shows kids, especially from low-decile schools, give up over the
holidays.
