Should Heatley have resigned?

Often when a politician resigns a cheer goes up, but the reaction to National MP Phil Heatley's sudden resignation was more 'why on earth has he done that?'

Even John Key said he didn't want a resignation and it wouldn't go that far if it happened in the private sector.

Do we have a different standard for MPs or ministers? How could a cabinet minister be caught out so badly?

To shed some light, empoyment and consitutional law specialist Bill Hodge; and former journalist, lobbyist and prime ministerial adviser Dick Griffin discuss the issue.
