Hawke's Bay locals call Sam Kelt their loveable rogue - the millionaire merchant banker who pours his money into local sports and the community.

He's also a regular in the headlines. Last week he got himself in trouble for kicking in a car as part of his long running stoush with boyracers. He's fallen out with plenty. But there are still many more who say he's the cornerstone of the community.
