The new tinsel towns in the Far North?

On Saturday night parts of the Hokianga Harbour were like ghost towns.

You could have shot a cannon down the main street of Pangaru, Mitimiti and Pawarenga and not hit a local.

The reason? Well most of the whanau were in Auckland at the premiere of kiwi film the Strength Of Water.

It's a movie with the Hokianga in a starring role.

Robyn Janes went to tiny Panguru, to meet the unknown youngsters who took the lead roles and to find out how a little village in the Far North copes when a movie comes to town.
