Are NZ employers racist?

Yik Kun Heng says he would have more chance getting a job if his name was John, because New Zealand employers are racist.

Heng, earned a masters degree in political science, got more than 170 unsuccessful job applications to back his claim. Yik has been in New Zealand for 22 years, so it's not a language issue.

What he believes is holding him back is racism.
