The Children's Commissioner made a report public that outlines what many parents suspected, bullying in New Zealand schools is among the worst in the world.
It is not a new problem but one, it seems, many schools just do not want to face up to or do not know how to.
The timing of the release in just before a seminar in Wellington to look at the issue has riled the Education Minister Anne Tolley.
But what is she doing about this situation?
She joins Mark from Wellington and in Auckland two people with first hand experience of the problem - Stephanie Paxton-Penman who's son was bullied she feels the school tried to dodge responsibility and Katherine Rees a 17-year-old at Mt Roskill Grammer who was bullied herself and serves on an advisory group for the Commissioner.
