It's been three unkempt months of itching, scratching and looking like a desert island castaway. And now the bearded men of Nelson are asking: has it all been in vain?

They signed up to be extras in a big-screen biblical production, Kingdom Come and shooting was set to begin last month but it didn't. In fact, the bearded extras have heard nothing since early December, and they are losing faith in the whole thing.
