Fletchers: An iconic Kiwi story

The name Fletcher has been synonomous with building in New Zealand for a very long time building houses, building high rises, building stadiums.

It's an iconic Kiwi company with its roots firmly set at 727 Portobello Road, Dunedin.

A three-bedroom villa was James Fletchers' first building contract completed 100 years ago.

He made a profit of three and six on the build.

Humble beginnings for a company which recently toppled Telecom from its top stock billing on the sharemarket.
