The name Fletcher has been synonomous with building in New
Zealand for a very long time building houses, building high rises,
building stadiums.
It's an iconic Kiwi company with its roots firmly set at 727
Portobello Road, Dunedin.
A three-bedroom villa was James Fletchers' first building contract
completed 100 years ago.
He made a profit of three and six on the build.
Humble beginnings for a company which recently toppled Telecom
from its top stock billing on the sharemarket.
