Dirty rat - sniffing out the pests

There's a war about to take place in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf and it's set to be a battle until the end.

The Department of Conservation is about to begin the most complicated pest erradication ever attempted in New Zealand - probably in the world. They plan to rid Rangitoto and Motutapu islands of seven different pests and rats, stoats and mice won't stand a chance.

DOC has new four legged soldiers - three specially trained dogs - taught to sniff out rodents. Robyn Janes went to the dogs.
