It's a proven fact that 40% of cancers can be avoided, so why would you wait until you've got the potentially fatal disease and then get treated?

It's a no-brainer surely, and yet so few actually take any notice. The measures aren't failproof, but they give you a much better chance. The question is how far would you go in the name of prevention?

Gill Higgins met with one woman, Jenny Ridling, who went further than many of us would choose to.
