An unassuming hero saves a stranger's life

It's strange how life throws people together. Road worker Todd Maihia and John Watkins, who recently retired from the Auckland War Memorial Museum, would not normally be expected to meet, but connect they did on a street corner in Auckland - an encounter that ensured John would remain on this planet for a bit longer.

Todd knew how to perform CPR and he used those skills on a complete stranger - skills that saved John's life.

Michael Holland reunites the rescued and the rescuer.
