It seems incredible that New Zealand's biggest city was brought to a virtual standstill because of a few protesters.
Major motorways were blocked solid leaving tens of thousands of Aucklanders inconvenienced and police seemed powerless to stop it, almost unwilling to stop it.
It was all caused when protesters broke through barriers and walked across the Auckland Harbour Bridge, raising the spectre of just how vulnerable the city is to civil disobedience.
When protesters were demanding to walk on the bridge they faced a few police and Transport Agency Regional Director Wayne McDonald with a loud hailer borrowed from the protesters.
Paul Henry speaks to Wayne McDonald, Superintendent Bill Searle, Waitemata Police District Commander, and Graeme Knowles from the Get Across protest group.
