Maybe he was channelling his character a little too faithfully, but when actor Christian Bale let rip with a tirade of abuse at a crew member on the set of Terminator Salvation, he set himself up for world-wide criticism and ridicule.

He did not have much luck in this last movie outing as Batman either.

The movie became the centre of unwanted attention when Heath Ledger died during production.

Dominic Bowden caught up with Christian Bale, an actor desperately trying to shun the limelight.
