Carole King and James Taylor created their own brand of soft melodic music that described hope and heartbreak and together and apart they stacked up hits throughout three decades.
Now they're getting back together to tour for the first time in nearly 40 years - a tour that starts in our part of the world early next year and includes a one-off show in New Zealand.
Tim Wilson caught up with them in Taylor's barn and recording studio in Massachusetts and asked them about music, friendship, and playing the hits.
There will just be the one reunion concert in New Zealand when
James Taylor and Carole King play Auckland in April next
year.
