Burning bridges between Aus and NZ?

Sir Robert Muldoon in 1979 once famously said "Kiwis who move to Australia raise the IQ of both countries." But now, it seems, Australia have all the intelligence they can handle.

Australian Labour MP Kelvin Thomson wants to deny New Zealanders automatic entry into Australia. The Trans-Tasman travel arrangement has to go, he says, so Australia can better control its population growth, which means New Zealanders would have to compete with other migrants for a place in the country.
