They say having arthritis is like living with broken glass in your joints.

It is a crippling condition affecting more than half a million kiwis.

While pills and potions have offered some relief, scientists believe a new breakthrough is offering the brightest potential in years.

Stem cell therapy for arthritic dogs has just arrived in New Zealand and it has given our canine companions a new lease on life.
