Six thousand motorcyclists are planning to storm Wellington over ACC's plans to hike up levies as part of motorcycle and scooter registration.

ACC say it is time to "get real" and that the hikes are necessary to cover the huge costs inflicted by motorcycle accidents.

Close Up spoke to ACC General Manager Dr Keith McLae and Auckland Bikers Rights Organisation President Les Mason.
