A special type of education has given two children a chance to live fuller lives.

Xavier and Johnny both have motor disorders and without specialised help, it's likely neither of them would be able to talk or walk.

By chance, their parents discovered conductive education, a non-conventional alternative to what is traditionally available.

It is intensive and hugely time consuming but Close Up met two parents who thank their lucky stars they've had the choice.

For more information, you can go to the IRIS Conductive Education's website  or the NZ Foundation for Conductive Education's website.
