Imagine this: you are a bride whose wedding is just a few weeks
away, and you are down to fine-tuning all the details. The venue is
sorted, the cake has been ordered, and you have paid up for the
all-important wedding dress.
While most brides worry about their groom getting a glimpse of the
dress before the big day, Close Up has found a couple of
brides-to-be for whom that simply is not possible. Why? Because the
dressmaker they paid their money to has disappeared, meaning they
cannot even see their dresses themselves.
Michael Holland speaks to two women whose dreams of a fairytale
wedding have floated off into thin air.
