Recession impacts on Fashion Week

Organisers of this year's Fashion Week say the recession has made their job awfully tricky.

This year more designers have opted to have shows at private venues or co-host events in an effort to keep costs down.

Fashion Week spokeswoman Myken Stewart says if they hadn't built such a strong brand over the past nine years the whole event could have been in jeopardy.

She says that meant things were locked in much later because no one was sure how the year was going to pan out.
