NZ Mint teams up with Swiss supplier

Privately owned mint company New Zealand Mint has announced a partnership with bullion supplier PAMP.

New Zealand Mint says the partnership with the Swiss company will allow it to make inroads into markets where supply is limited.

It also says the partnership will allow it to capitalise on the global demand for gold, which has increased as investors look for safe havens in the recession.

New Zealand Mint and PAMP will together produce a new one-ounce gold coin called the Pacific Sovereign.
