The Commerce Commission's Deputy Chairman Donal Cutin has resigned.
Commerce Minister Simon Power says he has accepted Mr Curtin's resignation in relation to ongoing issues around his disclosure of interests.
Curtin's been subject to a Commission inquiry since last September as to whether or not he provided adequate disclosure in his involvement with finance companies Vestar Limited, Mint Asset Management Limited, and MFS Limited.
Power says Curtin's offer is an appropriate resolution to the issues.
However Curtin will remain on the Commission's board but will only work in areas outside those where conflicts have been identified.
